2. When are Vyapar, myBillBook or Khatabook the better fit?
- You want an app you can sign up for today. Distiqo AI is in private beta, with a waitlist.
- You want a free khata app. Khatabook describes its apps as free; Retailer OS is a paid subscription.
- You work on a Windows PC and want an installed desktop product. Vyapar and myBillBook both list desktop options; Distiqo AI runs in the browser and needs internet.
- You want a long-established product with a large user base. Distiqo AI is new.
3. When is Distiqo AI's Retailer OS the better fit?
- Your distributor supplies most of your stock. Their bill turns into your stock in one tap, and you order from their catalogue, instead of typing every bill again.
- You want one system for billing, khata, purchases, accounts and GST rather than a billing app plus a khata app.
- You run more than one branch, or staff need their own logins: Pro has branches with stock transfers and up to 5 staff logins.
- You sell loose items and scale-label barcodes scan straight in.
4. How do I move a kirana shop from another billing app?
Export your items, customers and suppliers from your current app to Excel and upload them in onboarding; your old app can keep running alongside until you switch. Retailer OS needs internet, has no offline mode, and is not security-certified yet.

How much does Retailer OS cost?
When it opens: Basic is ₹1,499 a month + GST billed monthly, or ₹999 a month + GST paid yearly (₹11,988 a year). No. Khatabook describes its apps as free; Retailer OS is a paid subscription with a 14-day free trial when it opens. Check each vendor's page for current pricing.
Does it work if my distributor is not on Distiqo AI?
Yes. The network is optional. You bill, keep stock, purchase from any supplier (with bill upload) and file GST the same way; distributor bills only become stock in one tap when the distributor is on Distiqo AI.
